AAMSCO was a Diamond Sponsor of the 41st Annual Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock, August 1-3. Micha Pace and Shannon Riordan spent time demonstrating OpenTech School tracking solutions and the BadgePass suite of products to principals and superintendents statewide. Several were impressed by the inheritability of the two solutions as well as the host of other products and services AAMSCO provides.
Visitor Management – Attendees were able to take part in the demonstrations by “checking in” to the visitor management system and saw first-hand the safety element provided by having an ongoing list of visitors in the building, how to issue QuickPass cards for VIP visitors, and in general how customizable the visitor management program can be.
Identity Manager – A quick system overview was demonstrated to show how badges could be created in BadgePass Studio then ultimately assigned to employees and/or students through Identity Manager. Badges could also be customized with a barcode for use in the cafeteria or library. The bardode could also be incorporated with the OpenTech system.
OpenTech – Thanks to OpenTech, we were able to utilize a handheld unit and portable printer to demonstrate how quickly and easily student attendance can be managed. Because attendance control/tracking is always such a big topic of discussion there was a good deal of interest. Many liked not only the functionality but also the customizability of the product.
Access Manager – No BadgePass demo would be complete without discussing how access control can be incorporated for a safer campus. By using our portable access control kit, not only could we show the visitor management piece, we could also demonstrate how access control works and how it can be monitored.
AAMSCO’s relationship with the AAEA remains strong, and we will continue our Diamond sponsorship next August.
