AAMSCO is proud to have provided several solutions to Arkansas State Police over the years on several different projects. Printing all of the concealed handgun licenses for the state requires a reliable printer capable of handling high volumes. Last year ASP purchased two of the Fargo HDP8500 printers to produce the 20,000+ licenses requested every year.
Should you visit the ASP headquarters in Little Rock, you might notice the visitor management system they have implemented to capture information on each visitor and manage it electronically, rather than utilizing a log book at the front desk.
Arkansas State Police often is required to conduct incident management during certain disasters and are quite frequently called to assist during disasters around the state. With so many agency responders that are likely to be called in and work with local first responders, it can be very difficult to manage teams. ASP has badged all employees using the Salamander 2D barcode, which can be read on scene for accountability. Furthermore, utilizing the same card format as 60+ other counties, creates a strong level of interoperability. Should an incident arise, ASP is also able to track all of their responders and any other pre-badged responders using the Salamander Mobile Express software and Command software.
